I'm currently working on a project that has an element of using knowledge articles as part of the future state process.
Reflecting on knowledge management as a whole… A common misconception might exist that it is simply for teams working in an operations environment like incident or change management.
In my opinion, organisational leaders are generally not placing enough emphasis on the use of knowledge management and the benefits it can bring to all facets of a business.
I think fundamentally most of this is likely down to - culture, - lack of incentives, - and forgetting that useful value comes when it is regularly used, updated, and encouraged (with various levels of impetus/coercion)
